Born Sinderland maternity 1968 (after which they closed it!) and lived in Timperley & then Hale til I was 21, then in South & West Cheshire up to 7 years ago.

I miss Alty - club & town and will be paying a flying visit next week.

Born in Hale, near enough to the ground so I could open the front door and see if they were training from the lights on that big tower.  If they were, I'd pop down and see what was happening.

Moved to Broadheath, Timperley and now Chorlton.

Blackpool - my auntie lived on the corner of Poplar Ave and Ashton for many years..

Altrincham (1964) - Alloa - Cheadle Hulme - Altrincham - Timperley. Left Altrincham aged 5 and returned from Scotland at 10. Commuted from Cheadle to watch alty from the age of 14 and moved back to Altrincham 12 years ago. Lived on Moss Lane for a few years.

sinderland maternity was there until at least 1971

I can confirm that, although Joe was born in Wythenshawe Hospital in 1974, he spent most of the first week of his life at Sinderland (by then known as Gibson House) as it was downgraded to a home for new mothers/babies. I wonder if he actually knew that ? !

By the time our Rick arrived three years later it had been closed.

As for me.....born Hull 1947, moved to Timperley 1949, first game at Moss Lane 1953 (we lost to bloody Vics !), educated Stamford Park and Alty Grammar, three year exile in Sutton Coldfield 1970-3, then lived in Hale, Timperley, Newall Green till 1999. After a disastrous year with a mad woman in Irlam, I came back to Sale, then Baguley. Moved to Stretford two years ago. I've lived within 15 minutes of the ground for 56 of my almost 63 years !

Born in Craigavon, County Armagh. Moved to Broomfield Lane in Hale at the age of three. Stayed in the Altrincham/Hale areas until the age of 18, moved to Liverpool, now I'm just about to move again (location job dependent - though being close to Moss Lane would be mega!).
