Tomo Altrincham v Kiddermister
« on: January 26, 2007, 09:48:35 AM »

A very tough game and one I would n't be too unhappy if we got a point out of. I know we are at home but they are on a good run although it would be very nice to stop it.

Obviously want the 3 points and no reason why we can not get them at Moss Lane but saying that a draw would still be a good result in my opinion against a much improved Kiddie side.

Thoughts ? ...

Kiddie's winning run to go up in smoke and I get to see my first Altrincham win this season.

That makes it sound like we don't win many at home when we win 50% of matches played ... The only games you've been to are the other 7 games we have drawn or lost. How unlucky is that. Maybe YOU are the bad luck  ;)

12/08 - Stevenage
26/08 - St Albans
12/09 - Halifax
23/09 - Tamworth
21/10 - Southport
26/12 - Vics - HOW COULD YOU MISS THAT !!!
6/01 - Rushden and Diamonds

Now if you only made away games then it would be awful of course and everyone is waiting for that win.   :'(

which games have you seen this season ?

I think this will be a scrappy one, but we'll pull out a goal near the end to win 1-0.

Any news on Bushell? I hope GH doesn't stick Joe on the wing again  :-\

I've seen three draws - Weymouth, Tamworth and Rushden. I only missed the Northwich game because I was ill. Is that ok?

So you've not seen us lose then so thats not too bad. So you can come tomo  :-*

I was just interested in to which games you've been to thats all, seeing what your opinions of the season, players & management are based on.

I have missed Tamworth at home in a tin pot cup and  Kidderminster Away in the league this season (again as I did last season which is annoying as its one of my nearest games) so no ones perfect  :'(

Anyone know the way Kiddy play? Was going to pick my team but we have so many options now in midfield and up front that its pretty tricky. Not suggesting that we drop him but Little has struggled to make an impact either side of his suspension whilst Joe has flourished prior to his "Bowler" conversion ("Bowler" - lost little boy on the wing"). Thompson is a physical threat against the bigger sides and then we have this Senior who i am yet to see but am told looks quite sharp. Rod has again given his all and must be preferable to Joe out on the left?

Then in midfield we have Bush coming back (I think) and so I assume will play. Have always been a fan of Robbie through the middle instead of out right but cant really justify dropping Val or certainly not Lewis.

Isnt this great? So many options.

Thoughts?

Didnt you say that you could see this Senior guy being productive as a winger? If Kiddy are a big side do we send Peter Thompson "Over The Hill"? Lewis on the left? Bush and Robbie in the middle? Val benched?

Who knows !!!! (hopefully GH)  ;D

I thought he looked pacey and skillful. This is however only a judgement after one game. For all I know he might not be able to cross or may be better running through the middle as a centre forward and be of more use in the position ?

If he players tomo upfront tomo I wouldn't bet against him scoring, or at least being enough of a nuisance to distract defenders for someone else to do so.

I thought he looked a good player.

Hi kiddy fan here, i wouldnt say we are a big team, we have a  gigantic centre back and goalkeeper but thats about it, most of our play is played down the wings with 2 very fast wingers and we have a solid defence which has only conceded 1 goal since boxing day.

with us not loseing in 10 games now and winning 7 league games  on the trot, i feel every game we play we will loose, because the run must end eventually.

but saturdays game is hard game to call, our away form has been brilliant this season. we have beat both daggenham and gravesend 3-1 and a we won at morecambe. but in favour to you obviously your at home, but we also have star midfielder russ penn suspended for 2 games, his midfeild partner hurren out injured. along with LB harkness and CF christie. so as things stand at the moment there will be 4 reserve players starting 4 us. (4 of the players we had such a sh*t start to the season with)

I will go a 0-2 defeat tomorrow.

Our team will be :-

Chalmers, Bushel, Owen, Lawton
O'Neill, Senior

Subs
Acton, Little, Scott, Thornley, Mcfaden

If Bush is injured put Rod in for a 4-3-3
