..Alex Ferguson said?

'Squeaky bum time'

There's going to be one hell of a relegation battle before the season is out. Anyone from FGR in 13th could go down. After our start to the season, i was browsing our fixtures and for some reason Tuesday 6th March stood out.

The game between CUFC and your goodselves is going to be absolutely massive.

I haven't felt this nervous about the ending to a season than er... i can't remember!

Some of us will remember te frirst time we were relegated from the conference. We seemed to be in a decent position, but a lack of wins saw us plummet. Just confirms that, as said previously, there are a few clubs who will need to look over their respective shoulders.
It must be recognised that the Southports & Tampaxes of this world can always put in a good run - Tampax will have a new manager, for instance, & this can often lead to a resurgence.

Sqeaky bum time indeed!!!!!!

11th place in March 2000 smiffy.

Teams have anywhere between 16 and 20 games left to play. That's between 48 and 60 points still up for grabs. Early days.

We've got used to struggling but forgive our ignorance for thinking we wouldn't have struggled this much in non-league.

Dropping out of the Conference would be an absolute nightmare for us, it's imperative we do everything possible to stay up!

Nobody wants to drop out, however part time might make it easier?

No I do not think so

As opposed to "Do everything possible to survive & not go into heavy debt?"

Can't help but think Crawley are going the wrong way about things.
They still seem to be putting their finances second to Conference survival. The latter will far from guarentee financial survival - look at Scarborough.
I feel sort the finances & then try to secure survival is the best route to stability. Hoping Conference survival will do this has a greater chance of failure and more long term financial difficulty.
The example of other clubs has shown this to be the case.

Having been so close to losing Alty due to poor financial management, I do not want to see other clubs go the same way.
