Runcorn were definitely no pub team, their fans clearly enjoyed the game, it was much bigger for them than for us. And we won, so everyone's happy. There was a young lad standing near me in the second half, obviously a new fan, excited about the chance of seeing us win a trophy and seeing us play Northwich for the first time! So although obviously staying up is all, don't diss the CSC too much :D
PS any chance of us signing the bloke who took the corners from their right? I haven't seen anyone in an Alty shirt take corners as good as that for some time!

Not a pub team....that is disrespectful of players at Vodcat level (i.e much better than most who pull on a shirt)..........but still 4 divisions below our level.

They were certainly very good at making goalscoring opps from corners

Can't win is suppose.........if you hammer these teams, people say, "so what, they are 'x' divisions below you"..........if you just about beat them in the end, people say you should be "whipping teams 'x' divisions below !"

Is that Cash or Bank Transfer   ;)

Wouldnt you think that the county FA could find a few quid to donate as prize money for what must be there major Trophy.

Maybe the committee could chuck a few bob in a hat next time there having there corporate days golf at Mere next summer... (Dont hold your breath on that one) whilst sipping there Pimms in the 19th hole...

As the Scots Git on MOTD would say... Unbelievable.

I sent an email to the Cheshire FA last Thursday politely putting a series of grievances about the CSC to them. A Mr. Garry Polkey replied immediately, stating that the chairman of the Cheshire FA, Mr. Dave Edmunds, would like to respond to me directly. Surprise surprise, he never bothered his arse.

I think this has just confirmed that the county FA is run by people who like to meet-up and eat biscuits. They couldn't run a piss-up in a brewery, but we can't just ignore them, since their incompetence and inflexibility is having a negative effect on our season.

sh*tE.

Do any of the clubs lose money on the games they play in?

Only if your gate receicpts arn't enough to cover all expensives, Gate receicts are then split 3 ways once all the home clubs expensives have been took out. Its something on them lines.

According to current rules ref/linesmen/4th official totals £135+travel exs; away team travel exs up to £150; plus the usual costs (turnstile operators, printing/advertising, floodlighting, heating/lighting etc) that would be incurred at any home game. After deduction of expenses anything left over from the gate is split 50-50 between the clubs, tho' Cheshire FA "may take a percentage of gate receipts as decided by the Association at the start of each season" (Rule 16!)
