Yep, Gary Stewart missed an early pen to put us in front. It was on MOTD too.

Why do we always blow it in front of a potential audience, Chester game excepted?

I think it was December 10th 1988.

I went to see T'Pau at the Apollo that night......these days I can't do a match & a gig in the same day ;D ;D ;D.

I went to Australia for five weeks on the following wednesday & when I got back on January 12th 1989........we still hadn't won since the week before the Halifax match (2-1 at Yeovil)......yep..... we have always been capable of putting a mind numbingly poor run together!

There was also the small matter of one of the most bizarre transfers in the history of the club swopping Ronnie Ellis, John Timmons & Mike Farrelly for Nigel Shaw & a fireman & some cash, I think......about £2.5 million......or was it £2.5k?

Keith Mountford.............Elfyn Edwards was a good player...became a fireman after the win at Blackpool & missed the Birmingham game.He did a bit of scouting in the Midlands for us in 1999/2000 season.

Father Flynn,

I realise that your other role as a Eucharistic Minister encourages you to believe that confession is good for the soul......but there really are some things that you should never admit to in public.

Completely banged to right there......I had completely forgotten about that one.

I shall make an appointment to see my GP in the morning.....as I am clearly losing it!

I would rate your chances of ever getting your hands on those Cheshire Comet articles as 'fair to middling' at best ;D
