First one I remember was Morecambe away. Easter BHM 2006 - we lost 2-0 I think

Boxing Day 1972 - Macclesfield Town 2 Altrincham 3. An Eric Shreeves double and an Andy Windsor penalty. Two up at half time, Macc get it back to 2-2 and we nick it in the last few minutes - quality. Got some 'Munich' Subbuteo goalposts for Christmas (the ones with the blue and red nets), flick to kick!

A game at Loakes Park, High Wycombe late 80's when we were living locally and I was at school in the town.  Still scared from that season they went up.....

Which school?

That macc game in 72 was the first time I saw Alty win away.  It was blowing a gale, and with the winds at our backs we went in 2-0 up at half time.  We didn't think 2 would be enough and sure enough it only took macc 10 minutes to even the score.  We were under the cosh for the rest of the game until a break away earned us a pen which andy Windsor put through the keepers legs

Southport away, only a blurred memory, terrible game in blustery conditions, we were awful, Lance Key was in goal and one of his goalkicks was joked to be the teams best effort on goal, 1-0 port maybe, any archivers recall this one, 8/9 years ago maybe.

That would be the second relegation season we lost 2-0 but got in 0-0 at half time but should have been 5-0 down. Leroy chambers was a poor excuse for a winger and southport missed a hatful of chances.

Probably makes me sound like a glory hunter but I think it was the Fa cup game at Everton in 1975.
I was at school with Noel White's son and we got on the director's coach and sat in the director's box at Goodison.

Just as a contrast .... Latest away game was at FGR in April ......

My son is at John Hampden - doing GCSE's, last Alty match was away FGR.

in this weeks Eng Lit exam, set book Fever pitch, Russell wrote an esay about the differences between him and Nick Hornby:

"the author liked going to Highburyto see Arsenal with his dad, whereas my father drags me to watch Altrincham against my will!"

After last season, i have to say its against my will sometimes as well
