« on: June 08, 2011, 05:52:43 PM »

Just seen this in the Sale & Alty Advertiser...

Quote
Craig Dootson, Marc Beesley and Chris Denham have been released while Stuart Coburn, Shaun Densmore and Ryan Browne have elected to leave the club.

A mis-print, surely? Densmore and Coburn have both committed.

I saw that earlier. No way would Coburn voluntarily leave. And it has already been announced he and "Browne" are staying.

in all honesty, with the lack of coverage we receive from these newspapers, i believe the main site over this, as they did not include news about dale, joseph etc, so obviously their mistake

I hope The Advertiser don't blot their copybook with this...they have been excellent so far.

Stuart signed the paperwork today...so ain't going anywhere and Ryan is signed on as well.

Is it April 1st............why would anyone read this in a free paper and choose then to doubt the news already put out by the club..... :-[

Er, I'm pretty certain it hasn't previously been stated that Densmore is considering his future.

What the hell is going on?

True.........but there was a clarification (or big clue) a few days ago on what would happen if he was to leave

Different clarification.......now I am confused. The  club statement said :-

Altrincham FC have clarified the position of Shaun Densmore, Altrincham's 22 year-old England C international midfielder/defender. Shaun is covered by football rules which apply to under-24s under which he has been offered terms at Moss Lane for next season but has not accepted them. Shaun himself naturally wishes to play at the highest possible level but, were another team to make an approach for him, the club in question would be required to pay a compensation fee to Altrincham.

Second sentence "but has not accepted.."............makes it fairly clear to me that Sean is looking for somehing better if it comes along, but is happy to stay otherwise
