Diagnosed with motor neurone disease, see main site, what a bloody horrible thing to happen to anyone.

Proof, if ever it was needed, that life just isn't fair.

A true Alty legend and a damn fine bloke as well.

I hope we can all support any events arranged as much as possible.

This has genuinely upset me. It's one of the most horrendous afflictions anybody can suffer. When it hits a 38 year old father of three the effect is too painful to contemplate - and when that man is one of ourt heroes, a 110% honest pro who sweated blood for the club, it should make every single one of us forget our sniping at petty issues, and count our blessings.

I never really saw Mark play, but from the words of the fans, you all can't speak highly enough of him and regard him as a club legend. For those reasons I wish Mark all the best and hope alot of money is raised in the Tranmere game for his benefit.

when somting like this strikes not just a person it affects his entire world (ie friends and family) i deal myself with people wo have the said ailment and it is a difficult illness to come to terms with , it really does put things into prospective with petty squables and disagreements i read up on here, but i think all members of this forum should show there support for "mad dog" and his family and wish them all the best in the world

Completely shocked by this. Bad things happening to the people who least deserve them. Thoughts with Mark and his family.
