Latest  instalment

https://mads04.wordpress.com/

Typical of the man that he is putting others before himself.

Says he is proud of his Son and by the sound of it quite rightly but a lot of that has to be down to how he has been brought up by Mark and Jayne.

Still my hero and I am proud to say my friend

I have a friend whose wife has just been diagnosed with MND.  Marks blogs always make me admire his spirit and positive attitude.
Keep fighting fella. You are inspirational.

Had the pleasure of catching up with Mark last night during the interval at the illustrious Roy Harper's gig at Bridgewater Hall. He recognised me immediately and was as approachable and friendly as ever.

Unfortunately he's not been too good recently, hence the inactivity on the blog but he certainly enjoyed the gig last night and by the looks of things at the end, I think his wife and friends were organising for him to meet Roy, which I'm sure he will have loved.

I have to say the line in Roy's most famous song, When An Old Cricketer Leaves The Crease, "There'll be one mad dog and his master, pushing for four with the spin" felt even more poignant last night!

Sadly he was well aware of our poor start to the season!

Thank you for letting us know, Cheadle Hulme.

I didn't know Maddog was a Roy Harper fan, good taste.

Let's hope he gets to many more gigs yet

Had the pleasure last night of chatting to Ian Craney.....he said he saw mad-dog last week.....he said mad-dog is still remarkably positive and holding up in good spirits despite now needing a wheelchair.......we had a good reminisce and I asked Ian to pass on the love from Alty fans everywhere and to assure Mark he is an absolute legend still and his overhead goal is still spoken about in hushed voices of awe......

I was wondering if tasc could consider a bucket collection being held for mark's benefit and perhaps see if the fans of alty can purchase something that would make Mark's life easier and better??
