If he is given a proper chance he will turn out to be signing of the season,i  was lucky enough to of played with Astley last year and he is truly a fox in the box,and would you not prefer to have a young up and coming player rather than a player that has had more clubs that Nick Faldo and been shown the door from the lot?

I'm sure if he stays around he'll get his chance to shine.  It would be ridiculous even for this forum to judge him on 20 mins against City.

There must have a reason why Kidderminster and Crewe were interested...and his goal scoring record at a lower level is incredible.  IF he could get a quarter of those goals at Conference North level he'd be a welcome addition.

one way to find out.  having missed out on a game tonight Lee will have to get his thinking cap on a wee bit more with the season a few weeks away now.  Players like him deserve a good run out to get Lee a chance to assess them fully and sadly we've one opportunity less than we planned for.
