Information on room to rent
« on: August 11, 2011, 11:14:51 PM »

Hi, just lookin for a bit of advise. My step-son is looking at doing a course in sound engineering in Manchester (Downing Street) starting either this September or next March for 6 months and he'll be lookin for a room to rent. Can anybody give me an idea of what rents are currently like in the Manchester area, or better still someone with a room to rent?

Thanks Darren. Have sort of had a look at all those sites, but was sort of looking for recommendations as having lived in Ireland for the last 8 years, I'm a bit out of the loop.

estate agent sites are a bit pricey for students. are the uni not helping him out?

I got my rooms through gumtree (alot in hulme/whalley range/fallowfield)
or accomodation for students (.org i think) They are more typical student digs.

Renting can be pretty expensive to be fair. he'd probably be better looking around the Ardwick/Moston area, not exactly glamorous but all on main bus route into city centre.
