and we are one of them.

and we're one of only 9 teams with a positive goal difference.

So there's a couple of things to be optimistic about.

Of the three home games this season, we have averaged 3 points when Nicky Clee wheres black boots and 1 point when he wears white boots.

had to laugh at a comment i saw on the forum yesterday "6 points from 6 games just not good enough".....how many points did we have after 6 games the last time we won this league?

I only saw the friendlies but feel as I did before the close season, we will finish top 10.....we have a weakness somewhere in leaking goals as a relatively new set of players against what are experienced savvy never say die teams at this level.....if we sort that out we are scoring the goals to push for the play offs....next season we wont have the budget deficit and can push on further......but we do have every chance of sneaking through the play offs this season so i reckon everyone should get behind the manager who must have been impressed with the fans close season but maybe wondering about us by now  ;D

keep the faith!

After the opening six matches of the 1998/99 Unibond League Premier Division season, we had gleaned four points.

Both of our coaches, Nigel Gleghorn and Brian Kilcline, then resigned.

Mark,

Such comparisons are ultimately irrelevant though, aren't they?

We had better players and a bigger squad back then; could bring in the likes of Mark Ward and, I suspect, were probably even operating on a larger budget than we are at present.

It was more than twice as much.
