What a joke there policy of getting a team of scousers together has been

Trialists were turned away if they weren't part of the scouse clique, clearly a club going in the wrong direction

That is exactly what happened at Alty in the era 'When we were Kings', except we were going in the right direction.
the point im making is we never turned away good players becuase they were'nt "scousers" and stockport have

Incidentally, and God forbid it should actually ruin a thread, but is there any basis/evidence to this story about Stockport?

Andy Halls was born in Timperley. Nick Chadwick is from Stoke. Antonio German is from London. And so on.

Have you considered the possibility that they might just not have been good enough and, being pissed off, created some fictional conspiracy about scousers?
