I don't care if you aren't going or your reasons for...

Halifax 0-1 Altrincham

Reeves 59 mins

(80 Alty fans)

Darlington-esque celebrations from fans players and staff at full time as Halifax miss a sitter/denied a penalty late on...

Eventually the tide must turn!

A load of fancy dress hooligans come round to the away end a fracas breaks out. Characters include an Arab and a Prisoner with a ball and chain.

Copywrite, c.94/95 season.

We always used to get a draw at Halifax - I'd settle for that on Saturday!

My memory is slightly hazy after a whack on the bonce from a fake sheikh but I think that was the 93/94 season.

I got punched by a man in full prison uniform with a ball and chain around his ankle.  It was at that point I started campaigning against electronic tagging.

Anyway I am going for what I want to happen.

Halifax 1 (Baker pen) Alty 1 (Reeves)

Don't know about attendance or away following but feel that Halifax are a similar team to us except they've come up from a lower league and thus are finding it slightly harder to step up. A club bigger than most, in their case probably all, in this league who are close to being a good side but can't put teams away at home (as opposed to us away).

So a 1-1 draw between two teams who are taking stock and slightly treading water until changing things around in the transfer window somewhat.

Talking of which does anyone remember an incident in the Faulkners a couple of years back. A few of us were having a drink in there and someone from another group asked us who we supported - ( I think we'd been to a Cheshire CUp game or something) - anyway we said Alty and one stupid, wretched woman from this group started getting all abusive, calling us wankers and started slagging the club off.

Now I can't remember if this was before or after she said her boyfriend used to play for Alty, might have been after now I think of it, we said "oh very good, who's that?". She said "Tom Baker" - nailed on to score for Halifax Saturday - we just looked blankly at each other and said we'd never heard of him.

I think maybe he'd just left our reserves or something, I think this was early 2006. She must've thought we were taking the piss out of her or something. Perhaps he'd been spinning her a yarn about how he was club captain or something or she was wondering where exactly he was for 4 hours every Saturday afternoon, I don't know. She was a stupid cow anyway.

Anybody remember this, Moses I think you were there, Hughesy too. Andprobably by extension Beez and Jamie, Ecky? Were we on a pre xmas non Alty FC drink or I am totally and utterly imagining this ever took place?

4-4 with Alty 4-1 up and conceding 3 goals in last 5 mins. What odds on this result?
