We'd better get a couple of loanees in rapid, because having Lynch as our midfield engine raises serious doubts in my mind.
Nobody would have batted an eyelid if many if those offered terms this season had gone in the summer

This.

Maybe they all dislike the management team? It seems to me like he may have lost the dressing room which is a big worry! Good luck Anthony.

Surely if he disliked the management team he'd have gone before now?

Why do folk seem so keen to promulgate these disruptive theories I wonder?

Bear in mind that he hasn't long back become a father, maybe he feels that he'd like to be home a bit more / bit earlier and I for one wouldn't blame him. I know a good number of folk who have missed out on their kids because of work and / or football and regretted it afterwards

So :- Who on earth is going to play CM?!?!

No Lawton
No danlyk
No densmore (for a few weeks!)

It's obvious.

Twiss will drop back into a central midfield 'playmaker' role, swiftly evolving into a hybrid of Jan Molby and Tony Kelly.

Another of our links with better times has gone.
Can't believe he only scored three goals, but at least I saw one of them, in that classic game v Gateshead a couple of years ago.

he was also a link with our relegation last season and our indifferent start this season. A decent midfielder and no animosity towards him at all, but when we are reminiscing on here in a few years I doubt he will get much a name check.

<slaps head and goes aaahhhhhh of course!!!> good luck Ant...but we move on again.....c'mon folks it's clearly his choice, doesn't want to play for alty anymore sadly and scored 3 goals in 120 apps......Lee wants to manage Alty and will move twiss back into a free scoring midfielder......I know where the support should be.

He requested to leave so nothing more to say, a good player who never showed his full potential, onwards

I find it a little difficult to believe a unibond league outfit would put 7 days approach in on a regular first team starter at altrincham without any insight to a players circumstances.......

Good luck Anthony, been a good servant to Alty.

Can't say I'm either shocked or too bothered. As said elsewhere the lad never quite fulfilled his potential. We can move on, and without mentioning Connors every other post.

Quite. He's obviously spoken to Leek first. I firmly believe that this has a lot to do with domestic circumstances, coupled with Anthony's relisation that he's gone as far up the ladder as he could, and he perhaps wants to enjoy his football at a lower level.

He was a favourite of mine as many of you know, and I'm sorry he's gone, but I respect his decision (and understand it if I'm on the right lines) and wish him every success.
