He was indeed, but still better than the ball boys.

Although gutted about not getting  anyting out of tonight I don't think it will play a massive part to play in the end. Tuesday and Saturday will decide our fate.

I really don't think Little and O'Neill work together and we still can't take a decent free kick from a promising position.

I agree thought we battled well again but they had too much class. it could have been 6 - 2 but would have been interesting if colin had taken his chance to put us 2-1 up . They had players that could run at our defence and we looked very shakey when thye did, where as we always seemed to be looking for that lucky break from a hopeful punt. ref was terrible. the whole ground is soulless.much prefer old fashioned grounds.

The defence looked shaky too often. I don't see Alty much. Was the lack of Munroe the big difference?

thought we deserved a point but that sh*t ref and no ballboys didnt help also thought it was not segregated and when we went in we got escorted to the away end

The ref was totally awful but luckily did not affect the game too much (although he could have which is what was annoying) .. Can't say I enjoyed his back heel to their player too much  Only real problem with him was he SEEMED to book ours for nothing but give their players lots of chances, especially when the incidents happened near Mr Clough.  His performance summed up by the handball he gave at the end where only Bushell shouted and got it, not even the alty fans saw it, just that Bush shouted the loudest so got the decision.

We must have made about 6 goal mouth clearances and god knows how many scrambles in the box. It was looking unlikely we would get anything until we got the equaliser and then for about 10mins we were the team looking most likely to score, and if colin had slotted that away then who knows.

I thought Joe O'neil was man of the match by a long way.

All said and done Clares goals were both top class, and I'm afraid  thats what money buys as well as their very pacey attacking play that caused us trouble all game.

Support was TOP CLASS (again) by the Alty Fans. Not many teams would be in our position in the league and no away win for almost a year and get support like that. WELL DONE = LETS KEEP IT UP !

AND ALSO ...

O'Neill is working, if he was playing with an 'in form' Little then they would be a great strike force but unfortunatly Colin is struggling at the moment. He needs a goal , even one like he got v dageham last season that just hits him will do nicely and then he can kick on from there for an important last few games.

We are beating Weymouth by the way so don't worry. Cambridge is the one though ... Tension or what.

I was listening on the radio last night and the alty fans were brilliant all night they never stopped all game. Well done everybody and i'm sure if we carry on getting behind the lads like that we'll be alright

Thought the singing was very good particularly 2nd half even caught my self chanting at one stage and i was sober. i am far too old for behaviour like that

Thought I heard The Gazelle singing on the radio, I remember the 70's!

Disappointed by the result last night but onward and upwards etc. Think we may have the beating of Cambridge.

Anyway, my 10 year old's team won their junior cup semi final this morning with a last minute of extra time winner so not all bad certainly in this house!
