Away support
« on: April 22, 2012, 10:54:13 AM »

As a member of the "Staff", I would like to thank every single fan that has travelled to our away games during the season. Been a few "lows" I know, but some good trips as well. Thanks again!!

You can't beat a decent away day, even getting off the train at 1984 yesterday was enjoyable

I've managed ten this season, a personal record. Hope to at least equal it next term (and enjoy it a bit more !)

I managed 9 away days this season (although the home games are like an away for us) I only actually saw us win one away game (Colwyn Bay) Our inept display at Gainsborough was the final one I went to - I was fed up driving back home pissed off to be honest.

Bloody hell - Just checked up on how many I (should have) got to !

Managed to make it to 11 and a memorable night stuck on the M6 in the 'Foz mobile' trying to get to Hinkley !

How about Paul Burton and the Retrobeats doing a remake of Stealer's Wheel's 'Stuck on the M6 With You !'

Highlights have to be 'A Balmy Night in Colwyn Bay' with the bard of North Wales (Simon Ellis) providing Welsh lessons on Radio Robins !

Other highlights have got to be the Radio Robins team turning at Vauxhall Motors to find there was no power supply for Mr Flynn's laptop and him having to rush off at half time to try and recharge thus missing two goals after the re- start.

And the Blyth Spartans branch of the Brian Flynn Appreciation Society as our totally unbiased Rado Robins commentator described the injury time Damien Reeves penalty equaliser after James Lawrie's diving demonstration straight out of the Ashley Young Diving For Penalties Collection. What a pity a return trip to the north east will be off the agenda next season.

Happy days !! Can't wait for next season

The most cross Ive been at an away game this year was at gloucester, that last miinute leveller was the moment it finally dawned on me that we werent just having a "dodgy start".

The points weve thrown away by not being able to close a game down from a winning position is whats cost us in all honesty
1 point at harrogate
2 points at vauxhall
2 points guiseley
2 points at gloucester
3 points against colwyn bay
2 points against hinckley
1 point at guiseley

We'd be sat third now and already qualified for the playoffs
