I cannot summon up enough superlatives
« on: June 10, 2012, 10:29:36 PM »

Just seen an item on BBC News North West

Mark Maddox did the Liverpool 10k today to raise awareness of MND and, I believe to raise some cash for research into the disease too.

Despite his condition he also did it in ten minutes under his target and faster than I've ever achieved a 10K

As I said in the title I cant think of words that adequately express my appreciation of the guy or my pride at knowing him

It is truly humbling to hear how Mark is dealing with his illness and the selfless manner in which he continues to do positive things for the good of others.

The thing that stood out most for me though was one of his mates saying that it was Mark who got his friends through the bad days!

Hello and thanks for the nice comments and for all your support over the last 18 months. i text Gary Warrington to pass on my regards after the last dinner at Alty
but he must have changed number and gave his new number to his proper mates haha.

Honestly Altrinchams support has been amazing and i couldnt have done all this with out the support
from everyone involved at the club, im glad some of you caught the interview on BBC last night i did give Alty a mention but they edited it out!! I have woke up this morning feeling like i have been tackled by myself haha CANT MOVE !! but it was worth it if it raises more awareness for MND.

As was put on the website last week by the brilliant John Laidler  i have formed a band with my mates
and have set up a website through twitter we are @lastofadying1 if any one is interested its all trying to raise awareness for MND

Again thanks to all the supporters you have been amazing and i am truly humbled by the support and friendship you have shown me and my family

Is there any chance of your band playing a gig in the Noel White Suite? I reckon it would be a great night and tickets would surely sell out.
