Got to agree with york about ambrose over rated in the early 80 s and most of the teachers especially the christian brothers were sadistic wayne kerrs

They were the least christian people I have ever met.
Glad to say it's nothing like that nowadays, asides from the PE department  ::)

SW remarkably it wasnt julian wide that i had my disagreement with cant remember his name could it of been Langford . anyway he refused to have me in his class so i had to do somethingg else cant remember what . amazing how many public school boys on here. WHGS complete waste of my parents very hard earned money and they really couldnt afford it. however i turned out ok look at me !!! they did however teach me how to drink .  school camp age 13 getting served inthe white hart . progressed to the crown and theakstons as soon as i was able (15) as i had worked out dominoes bitter was sh*t .
Oh god i loved Hawes (and still do ) spelling is correct there.

Indeed, most of London Alty are Altrincham Grammar School old boys, though Hendo's time on Marlborough Road predates the rest of us by a good 50 years. :D

I think you'll find that predates you by a fair bit as well cheeky!

The draw for the early rounds is due out on Friday - will probably cover Extra Prelim (Aug 11), Prelim (Aug 25) & 1st Qual (Sep 8) only, but we might get an idea of who might get through to 2Q.

Bill,

That's an extremely credible scenario....with one glaring exception.

I suspect that it would go to a replay before we would overcome Runcorn.

I should have included Wigan - if we've got Runcorn, Vics and Macc we should have Wigan too
