All,

This all seems a bit Jim Rushe to me:

The attendance was given as 38,000 but it was apparently a full house and its a gate split in that competition.

""Having seen the support we had today, me and my investors are behind this club, we are here to stay."

Many observers believed the attendance was greater than the official figure.

"It seems to me like the old days where there were 40,000 but only 20,000 paid and the other went god knows where," admitted the chief executive. "

Thats a great start to the new era...

Lots of folks on twitter an the rangers forum last night said the attendance was 50,411, leaving only 617 free seats in the whole stadium, they had to open the club seats tier and the kick off was delayed.....
