The abject referee, Gary Shaw, sent off three Alty players that afternoon: Barry Butler, Mark Hughes and Greg Challender.

if i had known that I'd have given him less stick.....actually i wouldn't....every single time damian got the ball their number 8 was practically making rough man love to him....and the ref either didn't see it....or didn't see anything wrong with that.....also seemed to only give about 1 in 5 fouls which tended to annoyingly be the soft ones.....he's not as a good a ref as his brother was a footballer.

Given he's probably grown up watching Eddie 'tackle' people then I'm not surpised he didn't see anything wrong with the physical aspect of the game!!
