That main stand at Croft Park is more intimidating than Napoli when they play Juve or Roma.

Are you Alan Pardew in disguise promoting the area teams, 55000 screaming jordees every other week with thousands locked out.  ;D

Nice one!! - Like your sarcasm there Knutty Alty - as a mackem I really understand where you're coming from ;D ;D
Pleased I don't look anything like that smug, smarmy banker Pardew

Kenny Palin as we sat for two hours on the rainswept vehicle, marooned on a central reservation of the A639 at Leeds, will remain a memory to savour for all those who witnessed his lively rendition of "Old Macdonald had a farm", complete with animal impressions!

It was the second ground I ever cried in at the age of about 8

Young Master Flynn,

I suspect that I can name the first Alty game that reduced you to tears of unremitting sorrow:

Saturday, 30th October 1999

FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round Replay

Stalybridge Celtic...3  Altrincham...2

Mind you, the mere mention of a certain Martin Filson still tends to set me off into a torrent of uncontrollable sobbing even after all these years....

I actually canīt remember that game, but Iīm sure I was there. However, my first horrific experience on the terraces which would probably still bring me to tears now was during the previous season:

FA Trophy, 27th Feb 1999

Boston United 2-0 ALTRINCHAM    Att:2575

There were some decent players in that team. Quayle was a decent player, but we could not hang on to him, and good old Dickie Landon scored late having come on as a sub! How often did he do that?

Kuntsford Alty can't you go and support another team and piss their supporters off?

Croft Park?  What Alty game was it mate?

Unfortunately it was probably this one, in which case, embarrassingly, I was 9. Didnīt like the rowdy 90 year olds.

BLYTH SPARTANS (0) 1 ALTRINCHAM (0) 1

Unibond League Match, played on Saturday, 20 January 2001, at 3p.m.

74 mins: Jason GALLAGHER (Blyth Spartans 0 Altrincham 1)
84 mins: Richard FORSTER (pen.)(Blyth Spartans 1 Altrincham 1)

ATTENDANCE: 383

I may be able to save your blushes here son!

It was earlier than that.......I believe that it was late August/early September 1998......I'm sure that we drew 0-0 up there as part of that 8 game run at the start of the season when we drew four & lost four.......you were 7.

Descending from ynys mon, hence I'm in no way welsh, I always keep a keen interest in the results of the island games, moderate showing by the lads last time out.Got a win over Alderney though.

We should arrange a contingent to travel to the games in jersey in 2015, Bermuda next year is a bit too far

My lad's first ever football match was the Island Games Final 1993.....Jersey 5 Isle of Man 1....played at Newport (Isle of Wight).
