Alty 3 Workington 1

Att:603 not helped by playing on the same night United are live on ITV and a load of games are on Sky. Did it not occur to anyone to play on Wednesday instead.

Alty 2
Workington 1.

A hard fighting and scrappy game is rescued by Matty Doughty who smashes home a last minute penalty to give Alty the three points.

3-1 Alty.

The kind of game we need to win and we will. Wukky are a decent outfit but I suspect we'll have too much for them...

Altrincham 2-1 Workington, a business like win against a decent  but tired Workington side that raised their game against Mansfield on Saturday

If we played it tomorrow then City and Arsenal are both live on Sky. Always the same in a CL week. Hopefully the fact we haven't had a home game in ages will push it up to 650ish.

Three wins before the Burton game will keep the confidence sky high.

Do you think you will improve on the 11 you put past them earlier this season?

My first ever Alty game- Altrincham 4 South Shields 1, back in the days when 15 year old girls were allowed on Top of the Pops, and I discovered that insulting the referee was not yet an offence under the Public Order Act.

Due to the offer of cheap entry for BBC employees, can we please segregate the Newsnight mob from the Panorama lot?

I think it will be a tough game to be honest- they've improved a little recently whereas we were crap on Saturday.Although we still won
They're also maybe going to try and put in a performance in memory of their treasurer as well.
I'm still expecting us to win but possibly a close call - and I get paid tomorrow and have booked a day's holiday for Thursday so I think a drink's in order ;) ;)

Just got in from the South Sheids game and as I predicted a hard fought game that we won 3-2.
The 11-0 game -everything went right for us. Tonight so very nearly everything went wrong.
1-0 down then 1-1, 2-1 down and they hit the bar, doubt we'd have got back at 3-1 down.
Don't get me wrong, we missed chance after chance, but as I said nearly went wrong and we'll have to play better on Nov 17th at Consett to progress.
Hope none of you backed us at 33's 'cos we're not playing well at the moment :-[ :-[
