Bizarre statement from Lee. I'm not sure how they've got the club responses either. But the whole thing is a bit disconcerting.

If Rangers want to come to England, fine. But they can start at the very bottom like any other new team joining the pyramid.

I assume whichever feeder club missed out on promotion to accomodate rangers would sue the conference out of exsistence

I think this is a reasonable position.

However, clubs that appear to go out of business and reform are not always forced to start right at the bottom.

Perhaps there is a very obvious reason why Chester/Nuneaton etc just had to drop a few divisions and Scarborough had to start at the bottom, but I'm not sure what it is?

I'd imagine it would take them at least 10 years to reach the premiership.

Why should they start at the very bottom?

I'm sure the conference, if not the football league, could find a way to accommodate Rangers. Wasn't there talk of Portsmouth (re)starting in the conference should they go bust.

Think about the logistics of Rangers being placed in the North-east counties league and taking 10,000 fans to Shildon.

There'd be a danger of Lee seeing it as a pushover and rotating his squad....................

I was always under the impression UEFA would not allow this ? - you have to play in your own Country / own FA...........some Welsh clubs are exempt for historical reasons as are Berwick Rangers

Weren't Wimbledon going to move to Dublin once and become a Premier League franchise in Ireland ? UEFA blocked it
