As someone who struggled round the course of the New Forest Marathon a few years ago, I remember just how hard it was, Mark Maddox deserves all the plaudits coming his way and more. Some very good stuff on this thread and I like the idea of some kind of permanent tribute to him at Moss Lane or him being introduced to the crowd before our Play Off Semi Final. Legend.

Make him guest of honour next Sat for our last League game (apart from playoffs) and name the poplular side after him as previously suggested in this thread.

Just back from watching Duncan's older brother complete the course - and it was amazing experience - it was hard for all the fit young people given the heat - I have no idea how Mark did it - the inner strength to overcome the physical challenge must be immense - total respect for the guy

I always thought he was inspirational on the pitch, but what he has achieved today is utterly amazing. What a truly incredible man.

I think the best tribute to Mark Maddox is for us to win the play-offs and emulate the 2005 squad.

Just watched a recording of the report - now blubbing! The part of the report where it was said MND will kill Mark just hit me like a hammer.

I'm off work cos I just can't cope with my own issues at the things at the moment -0 and here's Mark thinking about all those he can help.
