Could have been worse. Avoided the top sides in our own division plus Chorley / AFC Fylde /Skelmersdale / Rushall Olympic/Curzon

But a banana skin tie non the less. They looked decent in pre-season and putting 5 past anyone - even if it is droylsden - will give you confidence

heres hoping we can do a professional job like we did at Leek and Shildon last year

Our one previous competitive match was a Unibond League Cup game in 2001 which we lost 0-1 (at home). No banana skin this time, please!

Today's Alty Trivia Question:

Name the goalkeeper who made his only appearance for the Robins in the aforementioned game....

Wasn't it a lad from the youth team? Daniel Newbrook or something?

Are Trafford our closest possible competitive away fixture? Obviously excluding amateur teams from this.

United home at 3pm that day, we'll only take what we'd get at home for a corresponding fixture, so I don't think it'll all ticket

Could it be all ticket?

I think they got 1300 in for the visit of FC United without tickets, although I was a bit surprised about it not being all ticket as I expected more than that.

What do you reckon we'll take? I reckon about 350.  Think they have a hardcore of about 180-200 that will probably double with local interest I don't think it will exceed that.

I reckon there will be about 800 there.

Do you think that the 450 odd others that regularly go to home games will all not bother to go 10 minutes down the road to watch us in the FA Cup? You may be right at 350, it's just hard to gauge how much people support the club outside of the core 200-300 that will go to all close-ish away games.
