good battling result after twice going behind.

surely at 4-2 up it's a great time to bring on a young striker for a chance with absolutely no pressure?

The title is there to lose, 3 astute signings and we could be champions, need to stop edging our bets and reinforce sooner rather than later though.

Just back home now.

A good win on a heavy looking pitch that had a few divots in it which may explain our desire in the first half to keep the ball airborne! BPAs game was all about getting in quick and denying us time.  It worked well in the first half when we resorted too often to long balls.  Our defence in the first half was poor, once or twice verging on the shambolic, and we let them have too much possession down their right flank.  I felt we were a bit fortunate to be going in 2-2.

Lee earned his money at half time. Much improved, we had more possession, held the ball, passed it far more then in the first period and we fully deserved the third and fourth goals. As with others I felt the subs were wrong, Max P. was on the bench, ideal chance for him to have a few minutes, bringing on Perry and Junior didn't achieve anything. BPA were tired, the pitch and their tactics were too much for their players - we could have taken advantage of that by giving young Max a run.

The ref was mediocre, at times weak.  He tried to make allowances for the pitch I think but there was some decisions he just got wrong.

Man of the Match was the bloke on the PA who didn't know who'd been subbed when their 12 came on. Forgot his exact words but it was class.  He wisely gave up trying for the next substitution.

Started slowly and looked very hesitant at the back on a very heavy pitch.

The lads stuck at though and came through for a good win at a tough place.

Reeves was back to his best. The control for his second was superb. Wilkinson was all over as well.

Good performance and good support.  Pleased with that.

took me an hour and a half to get there instead of the normal one , but worth it , not good playing surface so not able to play our passing game , but well done boys you worked hard for that result .

I thought our travelling support was superb last night for what is always a trying journey in a midweek rush hour, lots of regular travellers couldn't make it last night for numerous reasons, so I never expected us to have the numbers we did turning up, well done all that made it across the Pennines on a foul night.

Last season we found coming from behind beyond us more often than not. Last night we did it twice, then bossed the game in the second half.Great battling win.

Good to see Damian back on the scoresheet. With no disrespect to James Walshaw, we need to see him banging in the goals again if we are to get out of this league.
