I fly through it on the way down to London with work regularly. So it is on the mainline, but not sure how many Manc to Tam services there are.

Sort off.

Me and Swaying went to Burton for the play off final last season and the train stopped at Tampaxworth. Get a train to Birmingham, change there to the York train (I think) doddle really.

Check http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ for more info.

Me and the London boys are getting it up on Satd. As long as you get to Birmingham New Street, then you just change to a local service to Tamworth (should be loads from New Street) and its an easy 20 minute run. There's at least 5 trains between 12-2 on Satd from BNS to Tam. The station to ground at Tam is not far either, 10 mins tops.

Trains from BNS to Tamworth will usually head towards Nottingham or Derby. Either way it shouldn't be too hard once you get into Brum.

Both killed in a car crash in Austria in the 90's I believe. Tragic.

Sadly missed by Sarf London Alty who carries carboard cut outs of them on Virgin trains up and down the country.

You're only seventeen, but you think you've grown
In the month you've been away from your parents' home
You take the pills too much
You don't give a damn about that jobs you've got
So long as you're with the London boys

A London boy, oh a London boy
Your flashy clothes are your pride and joy
A London boy, a London boy
You think you've had a lot of fun
But you ain't got nothing, you're on the run
It's too late now, cause you're out there boy
You've got it made with the rest of the toys
Now you wish you'd never left your home
You've got what you wanted but you're on your own
With the London boys

Now you've met the London boys
Now you've met the London boys
Now you've met the London boys

who was that by then? he's very famous

I've been down to London a few times over the past two or three years and every time I've been we've stopped at Tamworth and emptied the toilets!

Omen perhaps?
