Three and half rounds of golf, 11 matches and a peckish Luis Suarez chomps in to an Italian since the last update.

So who have been the main movers and shakers since the last update on Saturday evening ?

USA’s unexpected 2-2 draw with Portugal caught all our entrants out with no correct scores or 2 pointers although 18 of our teams picked up 1 point..

4 teams picked up a maximum 3 points by correctly predicting the Belgium 1 Russia 0 result, 3 other teams picked up 2 points and 2 failed to score.

The high scoring South Korea v Algeria match again resulted in no correct predictions of the 2-4 win for Algeria. Only 12 points were picked up in total making it the lowest scoring match of those since Saturday.

Conversely Spain’s 3-0 win saw 5 score correct predictions and an aggregate 47 points making it the largest points total since Saturday.

4 teams picked up a maximum 3 points after the Netherlands 2-0 over Chile including All Roads Lead To Rio who became the last team to break their duck with their first all correct score prediction in the 36th game of the tournament.

Brazil’s 4-1 victory over Cameroon was correctly predicted by 4 teams and a further 3 teams had predicted the boys from Brazil would score 4 goals to pick up 2 points each.

No team correctly predicted the result of the Croatia v Mexico match making it the 16th game out of 32 to date where no one predicted the correct result.

Despite Luis Suarez’s attempts to bite his way through the Italian defence only yours truly’s Hand Of God managed to correctly predict Uruguay’s 1-0 victory.

Such was the overwhelming support for England where 24 of our 25 teams predicted an England win against Costa Rica, that no team picked a maximum or even 2 points, with 15 teams picking up 1 point each.

The final matches in Group C saw Japan lose 4-1 against Columbia whilst a 93rd minute penalty by Georgeos Samarus not only eliminated Ivory Coast but blew five 1-1 predictions and provided for 3 all correct predictions for One Over The Eight, GC XI and most importantly, leader Sarah Rowley.

So how do all these 11 results since the last update impact of the table?

Biggest mover is Foz who has picked up a total 17 points to move from 15th to 6th place. The Hand of God picked up 16 points to move from10th to 4th and Shortdean United with 15 points to edge in to 3rd place. Lowest points scorers with 8 each have been Pete (1-1) Foster, Rio De Timperley, Phil Jones and Mauritian Flyer

Sarah Rowley extends her lead to 3 points with just 2 days and 8 qualifying group matches remaining. Potters Mould and Shortdean United both have 49 points but Potters Mould have 5 all correct predictions to Shortdean’s 3 maximum three pointers.

The full table is:

1   Sarah Rowley   52
2   Potters Mould   49
3   Shortdean United   49
4   The Hand of God   48
5   Groucho's Gooners   47

Day 14 provides the final round of matches in Group E at 5.00pm  & Group F at 9.00pm.

Nigeria take on Argentina in Porto Alegre with Argentina seeking to make it 3 wins out of 3 to top the group. Not surprisingly no one has gone for a win for Nigeria with 3 predicting a draw. A 3-1 Argentinian win is the favoured option with 8 predictions, followed by 6 going for 2-1.

It a close run split between Bosnia Herzegovina beating Iran (12 predictions) and a draw with 11 predictions. Could this be the match that splits the teams at the top with such a diverse set of predictions ?

The 9.00pm kick offs feature Honduras v Switzerland and Ecuador v France in Group F.

France are favourites by 19 to win with 2 predicting a win for Ecuador and 4 going for the draw. 15 people have gone for a Swiss victory against Honduras with 8 predicting a draw.

Can Foz sustain his late sprint for the winning line ?

Next update tomorrow evening will reveal all.
