Definitely 7.45pm Raymondo...Buxton was the only 7.15pm Kick Off in the pre-season schedule.

Will be interesting to draw comparisons from their 1-1 draw at Kidderminster last night

The general opinion around here is that Micky Mellon has built a decent squad.  There defence is pretty good and the forward line isn't too bad. (Lack of a good striker is what did for them last season)

The team played very well against a decent Kilmarnock side last Saturday but they had a couple of injuries from that who didn't play last ngt at Aggborough.

Reports say Shrews lacked a bit of imagination last ngt but Kiddy wouldn't let them settle on the ball

I'm looking fwd to seeing the new signings.

Should be a decent game Friday. Bringing a couple of Shrews fans with me.

They'll be walking home if they win  ;)

Might be against diffrencent line ups I'd hope that is a reason why southport drew with united youth and we lost 5 nil

A similar side to the one that played us beat Barnsley 2-1 at Oakwell in the week so comparisons probably don't mean much.

I wouldn't look to much into pre-season results

I agree, however the last preseason fixtures is usually both sides at full strength though.

Yep I would think that both managers would at least start with what they envisage as there opening day team.

fitness is the main thing needed from pre-season.

we'll see an immediate difference in the pace of the game and the lads will need to be sharp from the start.

Will segregation be enforced for this game?

I want to know whether I am entitled to exile my Shrewsbury Town-supporting wife to the terraces at the Chequers End.

Best to confine her to barracks Cult.  If she kicks off it could get very messy  ;)

Be a man, Barry. Tell her to tidy the house up whilst you're at the game!  :D :D (You can always watch the game highlights on Alty TV when you're out of the ICU)  ;)
