We played them 2 seasons ago in the Blue Square North.

I distinctly remember a certain member of the Radio Robins commentary team upsetting the locals as he described Damien Reeves 94th minute penalty to pinch a point in a 1-1 draw.

I sincerely trust Mr Flynn will be on his best behaviour in two weeks time as I will not be available to act as 'security' to ensure he leaves the stadium in one piece this time round !!

Put a post on before Salty, that you would all be queueing up for this one.
I know how much you are all appreciated by their fans in the stand!!!
You have let me down!!!!

Golf in Tenerife I'm afraid !

Unless of course it gets played on the Monday evening

I saw them play at matlock two seasons ago and I distinctly remember they were followed in large numbers by very vocal fans. Away to this team in the cup is certainly no easy game.

It won't be easy but it is one of the easiest draws even away as for the day out bit of a tedious one

They brought five fans to Moss Lane but they were already relegated by then.

Shildon have got Gateshead. Should be a good derby.

Wonder if it will be considered for a Sunday game due to past FA cup traditions?

Decent chance of that I think as the BBC will want to mix the games up in terms of profile & Blyth v Alty & Norton/Shildon v Gateshead  are the pick of the all non-league ties.

Small piece on Alty here including Reevesy's goal on Saturday. Starts just after 20 mins:

Keep Robbie Dale out of the game and success will follow. Simples

But for an upright and two excellent saves by Blyths keeper Leek would have secured the victory after squandering a first half 2-0 lead.

I'm not quite sure why he isn't playing at a higher level...great player.

That sounded like a real gut wrenching defeat for Leek.

Is this the last time we played them http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xtb96cV5eb0

It's the last time we played them in an FA competition. We went there in the league the following season (2011/12).

Same attitude as at Barwell applies here.  Plenty of folk applauded out professional approach to that game, same again please.  With £18k at stake, and a place in round 2 at stake we cannot afford anything but another professional performance.

At least 15 of the bbc sport dept were at the play off final supporting alty so bit harsh to suggest northern bias!

One tactic, refer to them being a "Scottish" team,as they refer to us as a "Lancashire" side;

On the basis they are 21st in the Evostick and Barwell 12th, you have to fancy our chances. Admitidly they have a few games in hand but looking at 3 wins from 13 games so far.

Play our own game as usual and we should win. But we all know Alty.

I wont be going unfortunately as have a party later that evening and it is just too far away to get back in time.

I'll actually be there for this one (and Lincoln away the Tuesday before....possibly Telford Tuesday after) with reluctant wife in tow.
