Placed on "gardening leave" relieved of first team managerial duties - good timing for us surely?! Strange decision IMO as they are comfortably mid-table.

Gardening Leave is typically used if someone if headhunted to join a rival company and you want them to remain with you throughout their notice (i.e. not join the competition early) but you no longer want them involved in your business.

Or it can be a euphemism to allow time to investigate some disciplinary breach.

Intriguing. Most likely yet another go on the managerial Wheel of Fortune.

They have decided to sack him but want to do so whilst losing the least possible cash  on paying up his contract, so have done this as a temporary measure whilst they work that out. That's my interpretation anyway.

He'd have his work cut out on mine.

Hard to speculate without knowing the facts but it's never stopped us before!

Could be anything from a row with the chairman after he saw his arse at losing a 3-0 lead on Saturday to having a much cheaper guy waiting in the wings if he is on decent money?

Didn't they announce they were on track to lose £200,000 this year?

It's Lincoln City, not Lincoln United.
