Dale Vince FGR - interesting
« on: March 11, 2015, 04:51:39 PM »

Think I've actually got some sympathy for him here. Not sure what her case is, unless she's seeking recompense for costs of raising their son, although by the sounds of it I've probably paid for more of that than she has.

Wonder if it'll have any impact on his funding at fgr?

All that has happened is she's been given the right to bring the case. She hasn't actually won anything yet.

Read this at dinner at work and wondered the same............but when I read the article the second time the judge did say that she was unlikely to win any more than a measly £1M and it did say he has a personal worth of £107M................so the answer is - "I doubt it"

I agree Mick but a value of £107m is often paper value. It'd be much less cash in bank yet the payout would have to be cash, wonder if whatever's easiest to drop, ie fgr would go. But yeh, I largely agree.

And I'm about a million % in agreement with Jimmy.

I would have thought there was a settlement when they divorced.

Three entries for the Hamiltonan Award for Humour:

She divorced him because there was no meat in his sausage

He couldn't stay married because he has never liked ties that bind

The money will prevent her from a career in prostitution, so it's for the good of on the game

Typical woman......guy gets successful without her, and she wants to jump back onto the gravy train. If she wanted out of his life in the first place, she should bloody well stay out ! Whilst I have no truck with Mr.Vince's way of imposing his lifestyle on others, I hope this gets kicked out and she ends up a loser.

Absolute mind blowing. He was living in a caravan when hey divorced then 20 years later she wants to revisit it? Surely the court will say either it was dealt with at the time or 20 years is an injust time. I could understand it if he was on his way when they divorced and this was 2/3/4 years down the line but 20?!?

What a skip-full of worms this could open, gold digging cow. I thought divorce meant just that.

It seems that financial matters were not finalised when they divorced though.

It also appears that this is linked to Dale Vince's financial contributions (or lack of them) towards the welfare of the couple's son.

She's claiming £1.9m but it seems generally accepted that any eventual figure will not reach that amount:

I'm all for ensuring children are looked after and bought up in as much comfort as they can be.....

Seems the  ex wife has continued to live in the manner to which she became accustomed to.

Perhaps if the bloke had looked after his child's interests I suspect he'd have looked after his ex at the same time (ie by providing a comfortable home and security) she wouldn't be coming after him now.....would have cost him less than his lawyer and court fees to defend his money now I suspect.

You surely wouldn't want your son bringing up in a caravan in poverty while you live the high life?
