0-1 FT, a mix of formations and personnel in differing roles. A Trialist looks a decent player

Sounded uninspiring, especially 1st half. Lack of goals very disappointing

Thought Witton worked their bollocks off in closing us down for 90 mins, and were very rough also. You can see the blend of players from the defunct Norton United having an affect, a load of rough lads from Stoke, they'll do well in that league. I'd like us to sign the Trialist, he looks a very decent player, intelligent footballer. Rankine's knock downs in the second half created a lot of half chances that with better shooting would have given us something. Will be interesting to see how we line up against a Crewe side that will play a bit more football and give us a bit of time on the ball.

A game that Witton clearly wanted to win and judging by some of the tackles that went it they took the game a lot more seriously than we did.

Deasey had a good game in goal and commended his area well, Rankine impressed  when he came on and I'd be quite happy if the trialist was signed up.

Big lack of width at times and the midfield was very congested, I lost count of the amount of times Marshall had the ball and had nobody in space to pass the ball too.

Not a good performance tonight but not going to be too critical as that's whats pre-season is all about trying out new formations, combinations and players but PLEASE can we get someone that can take a decent corner.

I think the attendance was given as 208 if anybody is interested.
