I'd prob go Havern/Leather this year as they're class and all said and done we'll not go far wrong with them two.

At the end of the day (which it is) we've got the highest gates we've had for years and in a months time are at home to Tranmere Rovers.

From what I have seen and heard that's my impression.

Maybe Rankine but I'm not sure we're strong enough in midfield to go two up front.

I might add that I expect a lot more off Ryan Crowther this season.

Oh I know - I'm not saying I approve, it was more to demonstrate that you can never tell what Lee is thinking.

One thing we know is certain, is that he's happy to drop his best forwards (Reeves, Walshaw, Watmore) - often bewilderingly so.

He's got away with it so far, but we don't need reminding it cost us our place in this league under previous management.

I genuinely think he'll take a shine to Rankine, play him on his own up top and leave Reeves on the bench. And yes, I think this would be wrong.

There's no reason we shouldn't start with 4-4-2 and see how we go.

Pressing should always start from the top, giving the midfield a break - we haven't done this well enough in previous years, which I believe is the key factor to our midfield being overrun.  Rankine might be the difference in allowing us to play this way.

In terms of midfield, I genuinely haven't seen enough from the new signings to displace Richman, Moult and Lawrie - although in Griffith he wouldn't have signed one of his old boys not to start him.

I worry about the wide positions due to the inconsistency of Crowther and the fitness of Clee.

To be fair to Sinnott he makes mistakes in team selections like any manager however he does seem to spot them quickly I also wouldn't play. 4 4 2
