Woking Match Thread
« on: August 13, 2015, 10:01:51 AM »

My first live game of the season;

Not a ground I've ever seen us get so much as a point from in about 5 visits, hopefully that'll change this weekend. Travelling more in hope than expectation to be honest.

Woking 1-1 Alty, Reeves to score, (80 Alty fans)

My first miss of the season.....probably good for my blood pressure.

We lose 2-0 and the forum stays comparatively quiet since nothing better is expected.

My first game of season: Woking 1 Alty 0 - free header from corner.  we create nothing upfront.

I'll be winning flavour of the month with the family by travelling up from our summer retreat in Weymouth. Alty kick start the season as we go back to basics

Dens--leather---Marshell----Griff
---------------Griffith
-------Moult---Richman---Clee

Back to basics how basic do you want us Pete we play 4 4 2 can't see us getting anything but things may improve if we play a different formation and at least one of clee and richman are fit

We should lose 4-0.

However, we will win 0-1 with a header from a corner.

I have a feeling we will all be Woking up on Sunday morning with still no points on the board.

I'd love us to play the team Figgy Pudding put on this thread, as it's probably the best we've got at the moment. However, 2 up front at Woking will lead to a heavy defeat. I'd probably play Lawrie behind either Reevesy or Rankine (dropping either would be very harsh, but necessary until we manage to get another half decent midfielder. A back to basics 451, with Nicky and Si back could land us an unexpected point - one we almost got last year at Woking.

Nearest game to me these days, never my favourite day out, very mediocre town and pubs, can't recall getting a decent result there apart from once when I was In Spain. Horrible away support area along the side, weird teenage wannabee Green Street kids stay behind the covered goal terrace when teams change. I can't make it this year and I don't give a monkeys. I expect nothing good.
