Possibly on police advice. Makes good sense, gives ideas on numbers, quickens up entry, helps with security and stops cash being on the premises. I'm sure they'll bring a decent following. I'm also sure for these "once every Preston guild" type fixtures that conference football throws up these days nobody would begrudge giving Tranmere part/half of the pop side should it be required. We can arguably make £30k on the back of a big away following, and for games like this I have no issue with it. It's when it's done against clubs with a couple of hundred fans because it might rain.

How will it work with the seated areas? There's only one set of turnstiles to serve them and no physical segregation. I daresay a sizeable number of tranmere fans will want to sit down.  Do tranmere fans show a ticket and alty fans pay cash?

Only guess work, but I assume they'll be allocated a certain number of seated and numbered tickets. Maybe even family stand tickets. When the seat tickets sell out they'll have to buy a terrace tickets should they want to get in.

In which case there will definitely be Tranmere fans in the home end.

It's Tranmere, not Tottenham, I'm sure the old bill know what they are doing, they manage matches 1000 times bigger every week here. The police will have a big say in how this fixture is managed, so best let them to their thing.

Oh, i haven't got a ticket, so i will just pay to go in the Alty end.

As usual i expect United and City fans to turn up so we will not know who are Alty fans and who are not.

Needs to be all ticket in my opinion.

City and united fans are at all games I'm sure it be well policed you can't justify it being all ticket for 900 to 1000 home fans

This is a high profile fixture that will have a match day strategy backed by police intelligence and proper policing on the day. There will be more than enough tickets for travelling supporters, and people won't just "go in the home end" as they risk a banning order if they do. The GMP are the best in the country having to deal with huge football matches every week for nine, sometimes ten months of the year, let them do what they think is required. Given that Tranmere is about 25 minutes away, making it all ticket wouldn't negate people coming to moss lane to buy tickets anyway if they were so minded. That said I'd expect about 1,500 from Tranmere tops. The club has its own dedicated police liaison officer now we're are back in the conference, so let them get on with it. I think all ticket for away fans is the best compromise. They could have the chequers end and the popside if needs be, there's plenty of room.

They won't be going in the home end when they know full well that there's police there.

It took a while but we've learnt our lessons.

We could always ensure that Tranmere fans are allocated that section of seats in the main stand from which the Community Sports Hall completely blocks your view of the goalposts at the Golf Road End.

You really are pretty tiresome arent you, of 1100 seats maybe a dozen have that problem, once in 30 years has the stand been full and look what huge benefit the club has gained by the CSH, Get over it Cult.

There is on their eticketing website which is registration only according to the thread on their forum, they've apparently sold 500 tickets since they went on sale on Tuesday, they are now saying all though it gives a seating option on that site they are indeed only selling standing tickets
