To young to drink! I was one of the many on the train home and I can say at least 3/4 of the lads were thoroughly pissed.

I don't know how they managed to get drunk as they were marched from the ground to station by the Cops and waited there for nearly an hour.  The only people they intimidated were Grannies who were forced off their seats and to stand in the next carriage. What was funny was one granny chirping up - "Its a good job its not Manchester United". They did try intimidating my little one (not my 13 year old who is very quiet, but even at his age more than capable of sorting out any of them) and in hindsight my reaction of "bah bah" was not a clever thing to do to Macc fans. As I said earlier the Police were obviously deployed for the safety of the Macc fans and they were mainly kids.

Figgy Pudding hit the nail on the head about this multiple times on Facebook.

Clubs with a trouble element aren't exactly new to us. Grimsby, Tranmere, Chester and Wrexham have all brought big followings and to my knowledge there have been no problems this season. That's because they understand that no real Altrincham fan wants any trouble. We don't have the fan base for it. We haven't spent time in the Football League and developed some weird firm that thinks protecting their clubs honour at away games is some kind of necessity.

Macclesfield fans walked into the Tatton Arms yesterday expecting retaliation and they got none, it was probably the same on the streets before the game. A few kids gave them a bit back after the game and they did nothing.

I long for the the old rivalry with Northwich, where the game was heated but the rivalry for the most part was in good-humour. I don't enjoy the element of trouble and tension that this small contingent of Macclesfield supporters have been bringing to the Derby games.

Good to see GMP were switched on, but then again why wouldn't they be? A Police escort from the ground to the train station for a bunch of gobby pricks is a joke considering what happened to us in Macclesfield earlier this season. Not a copper in sight and we literally had to fend for ourselves / rely on Macclesfield's stewards. Funny how we recognised a few of the faces from that game in the crowd involved yesterday.

Reminds me of the school bully ,pick on the weakest and those who won't fight back. Can you imagine them going to Stockport , Wrexham or Chester acting like that.

Talking to my son after game , we said that the only trouble we get is when this lot play us , never had it with Vic's , yes there was banter in ground with Vic's , but it was never brought outside after game , this lot were worse than Millwall when we played them in fa cup .

I walked back to the car with some trepidation after the game (I parked near the King George), but must say I neither saw nor heard a sniff of trouble from a steady stream of Macclesfield fans.

We've played Macc loads of times in recent years and to be fair they've never caused any problems at County or at their place, the last couple of times they have had about 10 to 15 daft kids tucked in behind the Police but even County's hoolie types just shrug their shoulders and laugh at them. They usually bring about 500 and around 485 of them are sound and just want to support their team, I like Macc and I always stay until late for a drink, the pubs are always full of County fans with no hint of trouble, let's not tar them all with the same brush.

I don't think anyone is tarnishing with brushes.

There are about 30 zoids that appear when we play them who are an embarrassment to brain cells, everyone else have lives and dignity I'm sure.

I'm sure when you stayed late in Macc there were a fair few more of you than there would be Alty, don't forget what a difference that makes to these pack cowards.

If you had been on Stockport station at 6.15pm last night you would have had a different opinion. The last time I saw that many police at a train station was a London derby at the Den last season, as well as one occasion at Euston late one Saturday night coming back from Alty. What they sing about Stockport is on par with their paranoia with us. I am convinced the Police at Stockport were there for the protection of Macc fans and they were not being allowed into Stockport town. We never use to see many Macc fans as when the conference went national they were in the league below us, and like with Vics they were always obsessed with us being the bigger club.  I sympathise with County's plight as a club and with your fans, we have not an issue with Stockport and personally I would like to see you come right as soon as possible  - Macc can go the other way.
They only brought 400 yesterday, yet criticise us for taking 300 to their dive on a Tuesday night.

400 in the stand behind the goal, another hundred in those seats to the left of where we were standing. And what a load of nonsense that we weren't allowed into Stockport town centre for our protection. I asked a copper for his reasoning as to why we all couldn't go for another pint in Stockport and his response was "There is far too many of you, and we don't want anyone starting aggro out in Stockport for the public's protection".

As for the game it has to have been one of the most boring I've ever watched. Anyway, see you guys next season.

Oh, and don't forget to bring your minibus.
