Another reason for tomorrow's game being a must-win is the fact that, after Saturday, all the teams below us play games before we play again, against Macc. Halifax play once, Borehamwood/Torquay twice and Welling/Kiddy three times. So the table could look very different come March 5th. We really need three points tomorrow to give us a bit of a cushion.

Welling finish with KIDDERMINSTER, Chester, us and BOREHAMWOOD

If they can keep in touch, they stand a chance

Which fixtures are you confident of us winning? I can only see Welling.

Capable of winning more than one game although too may draws could see  relegation.

Which is precisely why 4 points out of the last 15 should be ringing alarm bells.

Based on the average number of points per game each team has gained so far this season, prior to yesterday's game we had the second easiest run in (only Port have a better run in by this measure). Frustratingly, the teams below and around us also have slightly better run ins than the average.

Those figures came from this blog, which is just an interesting little way of measuring our league by a guy attempting some stats analysis based on shots, goals and so on. Worryingly for us, as you can see in the link, for the first time this season he now predicts relegation for us, based on chance conversion in our games. Obviously stats are flawed in loads of ways, just an interesting read which is updated before and after every fixture:

On paper, Boreham Wood have the easiest run in for the last 6 games.
We need a couple of surprise wins desperately.

We CAN still stay up, but we need a bit of luck on the injury front. If Grif and Si are back ASAP and Tom returns to the team strong, at least we'll have a foundation upon which to build. Failing that, I think we'll be 4th from bottom.
