I'd say that hoping for even one point from an away fixture against a side in the playoff places, who've already stuffed us 0-4 at home, is akin to believing in Father Christmas.

Yes Eastleigh's draw at Halifax did us no favours aside from giving a point. It means now that even if Eastleigh were to win and Braintree lose this Saturday Braintree would still be well within a shout come next week.

This. Assuming we beat Welling this was the most important issue. I'm positive that with Braintree nothing to play for and faced with a chance to send Guiseley down, we'd have benefited from some very charitable defending in Essex.
