That was comfortably one of the poorest Alty v Macc fixtures that I have had the misfortune to witness.

The dearth of quality and creativity exhibited by both sides in a nondescript encounter was astonishingly bad.

I think if we get the 1 win we will get a few in an unbeaten run.

I thought this after we beat Woking but I couldn't have been more wrong. I didn't  see the game (it had to better than Queens Park v  Berwick Rangers at Hampden which was appalling !) but I've had a bad feeling since  Chester and I can't shake it.

Five draws in six games would suggest to me that we aren't too far off where we need to be, if we were getting hammered 4-0 every game it would be different.
I think if we had had Dens and Nicky fit this season, we could have had a successful campaign. Fine margins.

You definitely could have been more wrong.

We've lost once since the Woking game. We've lost just one of our last seven, so we aren't far off from what's required of us. A creative midfielder with a bit of spark would have turned at least two of those draws into wins.

First half was terrible football but we had a better second half because we used Ginnelly more and Lawrie was excellent in his favoured central position. First half was endless long balls to the very ineffective Rankine. I think he won only two headers all game. I think we need Reeves and a deeper Lawrie for a few games. Holness was solid again, Griff had a good game too. I just feel we need to get it down on the floor  and play more direct again using our wide men. Give Rankine a rest and Reeves a go.

Players missing

Coburn
Marshall
Densmore
Grffin - parially
Leather
Clee
Griiffiths - the guy who screwed us over?

Probably more injuries i have forgotten off the top of my head.

At the start of the season Coburn, Marshall, Densmore, Clee were certain starters, even Leather could have arguably been a first team player but seemed Marshall pushed him out.

That is a big hole, albeit Deasy has done a great job.

Agreed.
Re yesterday - I usually write some notes to go with the programme & match report as a reminder of each game. In this case I didn't bother wasting time or ink.
