Braintree - match thread
« on: April 27, 2016, 09:20:27 PM »

Well this is it, do or die. Same starting 11 as last week I suppose. Bit tedious that it's on tv as it's likely to lead to a drop in numbers from us, I assume bowerman is available now if needed, might as well have him on the bench as opposed to a kid, who's going?

2 of us from Cambridge and 2 meeting us enroute from Alty.

I thought we'd released Bowerman after his joke loan at Telford was over ?

He went on loan to Stourbridge for the remainder of the season, their season finished on Saturday

Whatever the team selection, whatever the outcome, whatever other results may be I just want everyone to give 100%. To quote Dylan Thomas -
"Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."
Logic is all against us - but you never know ...

I predict a fair amount of rage at full time.

All the playoff losers, Tamworth, Darlington 1883, possibly Salford City, Guseley/Halifax.....it'll be a tough season.

Fylde and Salford worry me the most and actually there is always the one team nobody fancied being up there, my guess would be tamworth

Rather surprised there will be no segregation for such an important game for both teams.

They beat us 4-0 at ours and we haven't won away since November, I think the locals will be going home happy. Plus their hardcore is no more than 600 anyway, even with the glory boys it won't be that bad. Sure they'll be a few mockney types with 'that's why you're going down' when the first goal goes in but we'll just have to stand there and take it tomorrow. Fair play to them incidentally for getting in the play offs ahead of many bigger teams and on what I assume is a small budget (hell maybe even smaller than whatever Macc have made up this season). No, tomorrow is all about Braintree. We have been crap for the last calendar year and now we are reaping what we have sowed. I just hope we get a decent boss next week.

PS, I mean the chicken legs in my packed lunch, mine are more like tree trunks.
