Chester then went on to win the league title, breaking several league records along the way, achieving the most wins (33), fewest defeats (3), the most points (107), the most goals scored in a season (103) and the best goal difference (+71). Chester also broke the record for the longest unbeaten streak (30). They also won the Cheshire Senior Cup.

Looks to take Cheshire Cup serious, so he will do for me!

Quite a few of that successful Chester team now ply their trade in the Welsh league. I wonder if NY still has any of their numbers?

Hey Hey My My!

This appointment opens the door to so many musical references.

Let's hope that our new manager comes in like a hurricane and brings us some ragged glory after Neil Tolson and the damage done.

The slogan for Alty's 2016/17 season: Neil Young & Promise Of The Real (Madrid).

Good luck Neil & Gary. Someone who has done it all at that level before and I like the cut of his jib in that interview. Number of times after games this season people have questioned on here our players attitude and commitment and unfavourably to past players (e.g. Maddog, Val Owen, Eddie Hussin etc) is striking so I like the focus on getting the balance on that side too. He did fail at Stockport but then I think Pep Guardiola would, that club a mess from top to bottom. Let's see now who we bring in but a good first step by the board in what will be a big summer.

So an the immediate appointment of a new manager has been done which is what most on this forum wanted - and in my opinion the right thing to do.
Maybe some can now get off Grahame's back and let the new manager move us forward.
