As soon as a player is valuable to us "when fit" then the question marks start to appear.

A good player and servant to us but time to say thanks and look forward.

Agree
I wish Nicky all the best at Guiseley..............but who's to say he won't sap their budget and they only get 9 games from him?

He's being paid on an appearance basis
Why couldn't we do that?

To pay someone on an appearance basis you still have to count it in your playing budget. If we'd kept Nicky it would have meant less money to offer other players which is all well and good if he was to play the majority of games but if he missed the majority we'd have less players in the squad to cover because we still would've had to keep money aside in case he did play games if that makes sense.

Think he'd have been worth it though, especially in the Conf north.

Sometimes it is hard to say goodbye. But you have to. The team is always bigger, some big losses this time but the time is right to rebuild. Thanks to all moving on, you were part of us.

Fine, but remember : " young fit players " can also suffer serious injuries at any time. Hopefully, it will not happen to us next season.

IMO, I'm not overwhelmed by the majority of signings so far. Hopefully, things will improve.

We'd better work on a version of "The Young Ones" before hostilities begin in earnest.

I'm surprised the club advertised for a manager, some of the comments on here lead me to believe we have a few potential managers on this forum.
Talk about a poisoned chalice. If we don't win our first two pre season friendlies I can see folks calling for NY's  head.
