As previously advised the Ladies played theur first pre season fixture today against a strong Bury ladies team playing their ninth.

Despite taking an early lead courtesy of Gail Simpson a combination of injury, understandable fatigue and a paitch which was not conducive to our passing style of play we were eventually defeated 3-1

Far more positives than negatives to be taken from the game though including a couple of impressive debuts and an appearance from a Trialist who demonstrated both how good a player she is and also that Alty Ladies are capable of potentially attracting some real quality players

An excellent pre season fixture this afterniin between Altrincham FC Ladies ended in a three all draw.

Goalscorers were Jess Hartopp, Kate Bryan and  Kye Brown

Everyone contributed handsomely but particulat mentions must go to sixteen year old debutant Megan Wright  and Goalkeeper Lizzie Brereton who pulled off a string of superb saves.

The Ladies are at home again next Sunday when the visitors for our third pre season friendly are Leigh RMI

Please, pop down and give us your support. I'm sure that those who have attended will say that you will enjoy the football played.

Matchday 3 this coming Sunday (21st) where we welcome down to Mersey Valley Sports Club (M33 5SL) our friends from Lancashire, Leigh RMI Ladies.

The game kicks off at 2pm and as usual the clubhouse will be open.

Leigh play in Div 1 North of our set-up so it will be a good test of our abilities as we build up to our season opener

We would love to see as many supporters as possible down to Mersey Valley to support the girls in this game and who knows you may enjoy it and want to come back again

The Ladies were succesful in todays Pre Season Friendly against Leigh RMI LFC

Leigh play in the NWWRFL Division 1 North whereas we play in the Southern Division

Some superb football today allowed Alty to run out 4-1 Winners with goals from Laura Dodds (2), Megan Wright and Brogan Walsh.

A number of spectators commented positively on the football the Ladies played which is always pleasing.

We are awau next Sunday when we complete our Pre Season Programme with a visit to Tranmere Rovers
