Having read the article it seems Callum must've contacted numerous clubs after his release from Crawley and 10 clubs replied but obviously took their interest no further as he's now at Moss Lane. Seemed to play for Crawley last season when they were really struggling for a keeper but dropped back down to the bench whenever they found loan cover including a 17yr old who was preferred to him! Hopefully the handful of games he played in League 2 will prove to be valuable experience though and he proves to be a more complete keeper than Andrew Dawber is at this stage who seems to be a good shot stopper but struggles with crosses and commanding his box.

Deasey and Clee were the biggest surprises on the release list for me.  We've been looking for a long term replacement for Stu for a few years without success until last season and then we found one and released him with only an inexperienced kid and no back up lined up - odd

Both now signed for Guiseley.

You can say that Ian but, and I'm ok with Deasy going (I thought his form deteriorated after Xmas, albeit due to clearly carrying an injury or two) but if Dawber or Preston aren't up to it that's a big problem. We can carry a player or two, even the shaky left back we've got but not a keeper.

I've had quite enough to get over from last season thanks, if we miss out on promotion this season due to an inexperienced keeper costing us points early doors I don't think I'll be that blasé about it.
