Griffin started last season fit and put on 2 stone of belly through the season.

Anybody with that attitude shouldn't be thought about. He was a disgrace.

Absolutely correct. The decision to release was spot on, the failure to replace doesn't affect that. In Deasy case we should only have released with an adequate replacement but as far as Griffin (and Crowther) are concerned absolutely not.
