Poor start to the season....

A headline in today's Times football supplement :

"Hughes confident of top ten finish despite winless start"

I was beginning to question Pete's sanity until I read on and discovered it was MARK Hughes.

And if he thinks Stoke will make the top ten he really IS seriously deluded !

We've not had a poor start to the season, we are having a poor season. We are closing in on a 1/3 of the way through the season. Things could look even bleaker at 10pm tomorrow with FC United and curzon facing off. No result is beneficial in that fixture. We could be three wins a drift by tomorrow

Mark Hughes reputation as a good manager confuses me.  He's not a wally (and we should know about wally managers), but he's no more than average in my view.  That won't stop him from managing in the prem and championship for years to come as the merry-go-round goes round and round and round and round and round. And round.
