I hope I'm right when I read between the lines and while not condoning the reaction can understand the pressure valve went ...thanks to a few stupid words said that were clearly very personal.

Terrible thing to be falsely accused of rape I'd imagine.

So Good luck to both players.....clean slate as far as I'm concerned will delete my google history now and eliminate the findings from my memory  :)

I agree with everything that's been said here, the lad will have to carry that baggage for the rest of his life but he deserves the chance to move forward and hopefully he can do so with us.

Welcome to both Simon and Curtis. Hopefully they become valuable additions to the squad.

If I am right, Curtis is son of Jerry Obeng. Jerry was a classmate of mine through Primary and secondary school. I have not seen him since our school reunion in 1986.

I sincerely hope dad follows his son at games, it will be great to have a catch-up with him again.

Curtis, good luck I am forward to watching you, bring your dad to the games!!

Good to see that Jim Harvey is obviously on the case - they both play in positions where we need reinforcement and both have good football pedigrees, which is in the end what matters to us I guess, particularly in the mess we find ourselves in. And at this time of the season not the easiest thing to find good players willing to sign for a struggling club. Welcome to Curtis & Simon and may their stay at Altrincham be a long, happy and productive one. Certainly I would expect they will both get an early first team chance!

Speaking of which, how about for tomorrow:

Deasy

Obeng
Hannigan
Thomas
McWilliams

Richman or Moult

Patterson
Wilkinson
Lenighan

Miller

Reeves

Subs Dawber, Lawrie, Cyrus, Moult or Richman, Marsh, Cain, Hobson

If the two new guys are match fit of course! That would by my count be 35 players this season, and I suspect we are nowhere near finished with debutants this season as JH's trawl for new blood continues. As the ancient Chinese curse goes, "may you live in interesting times".

Lenighan has been playing regularly for Warrington so match fitness shouldn't be a problem in his case,Obeng has been training with Macc so should be physically fit at least...

What's wrong with Ched Evans? A decent striker with no criminal convictions.

True,i have my own thoughts thoughs(Money talks) will leave it at that
 Though
not that it's relevant on a Alty forum, but the woman should go prison.

I think that would be our strongest starting XI this season.  Patterson in RM will immediately give us more creativity

I like the sound of these two lads. Hopefully we'll see both of them at some stage tomorrow. Both appear to have the pedigree.

Tomorrow will be what it is, I just hope our league season starts the next game which will be Salford ...
What an ideal fixture to get our first home win in the league
I too like the sound of these two new lads.

Obeng is a 5' 8" right back who was in the same Man City youth team as Daniel Sturbridge,Micah Richards,Ben Mee etc. Anyone know what type of midfielder Lenighan is?

As he was in that youth team hopefully he'll have some ideas on keeping James Poole quiet next weekend then! Great to see the reaction on here regarding Lenighan. As I said earlier, Harrogate forum went into total meltdown when there was talk of signing him so let's hope their loss is our gain.
