I apologise if this has passed me by on the club website, but I assume there will be a minute's silence before today's match for those who died in Medellin this week?

I sincerely hope so. It puts a lot of other things into perspective.

The club shares your view that we should show our respect and pause to remember those involved in this shocking loss of life. Not only will there be a minute's silence before kickoff, the players will wear black armbands.

This was a tragedy that embraces the wider world of sport.  Sale Sharks v. Exeter Chiefs last night saw an immaculate observation of respect.
